RULES OF PLAY

Playing Rules of Minigolf

Minigolf is played using a putter and a ball. The objective is to complete each lane (hole) in as few strokes as possible. The player with the lowest total score wins.

A standard minigolf course consists of 18 numbered lanes, and players must complete them in order without skipping.

Basic Objective

Hit the ball from the teeing off area towards the hole.

Each stroke counts as one point.

The team with the fewest total points determines the winner.

Equipment

  • Only one putter and one ball may be used per player.
  • No club sharing is allowed during play.

How Scoring Works

  • 1 stroke = 1 point.
  • Maximum strokes allowed per lane: 6.
  • If the ball is not holed within 6 strokes, the score for that lane becomes 7 points.

Order of Play

  • Players should form groups of up to 4.
  • All players take their first stroke before any player takes a second stroke.
  • Move to the next lane immediately after finishing your current lane to maintain game flow.

BORDERLINE RULES

Teeing Off and Borderline Rules

  • The first shot must always be made from the teeing-off area.
  • If the ball does not pass the border line, the next stroke must also be played from the teeing-off area.
  • Once the ball passes the border line, play continues from where the ball stops.

Note: Some lanes do not have a border line. In such cases, you always play the ball from where it stops.

Ball Placement Adjustments

  • If the ball stops:
  • Against an obstacle or boundary: You may move the ball 20 cm away at a right angle to the obstacle.
  • If the ball returns over the border line: Place it at the point where it crossed back, then move it 20 cm inside the playing line.

When the Ball Leaves the Lane

There are no penalty strokes for leaving the lane.
But placement depends on where it left:

  • When all 18 lanes are played, add up the total score.
